About the artist - Erin Ready

There was a time when everything felt like too much. Too much input, too much pressure, and no real space to land.

Art became a way for me to slow down. It gave me a way to notice again, through light, texture, and the quieter moments that are easy to miss when life feels overwhelming. It helped me feel more like myself.

Today, I create nature-inspired artwork for people who are looking for that same sense of calm.

My work is shaped by softness and the natural world around me on Vancouver Island. I’m drawn to the way light moves across water, the texture of plants, and the subtle shifts in a landscape. These are the kinds of details that invite you to pause, even briefly.

When your nervous system is overwhelmed, your environment can start to feel like part of the problem. I create artwork that offers something different. Work that feels grounding and brings a sense of ease into your space without asking anything from you.

Each piece is meant to be lived with, something you notice in passing that helps you take a breath and settle, even just a little.

Through my prints, cyanotypes, and The Pretty Things Club, I share pieces of that experience so you can bring more calm, beauty, and softness into your everyday life.

I studied Fine Arts and Professional Photography, and my work today is shaped by both that foundation and my lived experience.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or like life has been moving too fast, this work was created with you in mind.
